Daniel Radcliffe 

 

 Daniel Radcliffe,  full Daniel Jacob Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989 in Fulham, London, England) is an English actor, best known for his role as the wizard boy in Harry Potter. 

 

 Radcliffe began acting at the age of six, playing the role of a monkey in a school play. After missing an opportunity to audition for a television production of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, he is struck by television producer Kate Harwood, who is struck by its "charm and simplicity" and is cast in the lead role by David Copperfield (1999) . Two years later, Radcliffe appeared in  The Tailor of Panama (2001). 

 

 

 

 His big break came when he starred in the film adaptation of J.Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by K. Rowling (2001). Radcliffe played Harry Potter, a lonely orphan who discovers  he is actually a wizard and enrolls at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The film was a box office success and he reprized the title role in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix ( 2007), Harry Potter and the 

th Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). 

 

 

 Radcliffe's other films include Australian Young December Boys (2007); What If (2013),  romantic comedy; Kill Your Darlings (2013), in which he played American poet Allen Ginsberg; the supernatural thriller Rogi (2013); the thriller Victor Frankenstein (2015), based on Mary Wollstonecraft's classic horror novel Shelley; and the heist film Now You See Me 2 (2016).He won recognition for his portrayal of a corpse who befriends a man (Paul Dano) stranded on a desert island in the surreal comedy Swiss Army Man (2016). Radcliffe followed with Jungle (2017), which tells the true story of a man's harrowing struggle to survive in the Amazon jungle after a rafting accident. 

 

 Radcliffe then starred in the action comedy Guns Akimbo and provided the voice of the animated Playmobil: The Movie (both 2019). In 2020 he appeared in Escape from Pretoria, which is based on a real prison break, and two years later he was cast in the comedy The Lost City alongside Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. Radcliffe's other films for 2022 include Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, a satirical biopic about a parody musician and pop culture icon.Radcliffe has received universal praise for her performance. 

 

 Radcliffe has also appeared on television in the British film My Boy Jack (2007) and in the series A Young Doctor's Notebook (2012–2013). In 2019, he was cast in the series Miracle Workers, playing a low-level angel who works in the  Heaven, Inc. offices.
